First, I apologize for the lack of blogs…Lucy and I have been passing a bug back and forth, or maybe it’s just been lingering…for over a week. I have been struggling to get work done… I’m feeling better and ready to tackle my long to do list!
Next, I have to ask you all to keep the Seedorf family in your prayers. I was shocked tonight as I was working with the news on as background noise…I heard a name I recognized and started to pay attention. There was an accident in Wood County, Shannon went off the road into the Portage river and later died. I took pictures of Shannon and her boys this past spring, her boys will be turning 4 and 2 soon. It breaks my heart to think of them without their mother…I’ve been crying all night and thinking about how we had talked during her session, how she wanted to do a session for herself for Mother’s day every year and that she wanted to wait until the next one, when she lost weigh/felt better about herself to get a good family picture. I told her I was waiting for the same thing… we laughed about it and I am so grateful that I got a few candid shots of her interacting with the boys anyway. Shannon was a wonderful person and motherand my thoughts are with her family.
Now, I apologize to the S family for putting these up after writing about something so sad…but this is what I was working on when I saw the news and I want to get it up. Your beautiful little girl puts such a smile on my face! We started out in the field and I am so glad we did because once we got in the house and I got closer with my big camera she was scared! Poor little doll! Check out this adorable family:

I love this mirror shot, it was at the end of the session, at this point I was trying to hide and stay far away

It was great to meet you all! Hopefully A won’t be so scared of the camera in the future

I was so excited to see this little guy… his mom and I worked at O-I together and I had only met him once when he was a new baby. I was so excited when she contacted me for a session! Little T was a bit shy at first, but by the end he was my buddy. He’s so adorable!!

I LOVE their property, perfect for a session!

It was so great to see you again S and to hang out again!
I am almost to December for the blog! Just two more November sessions! This weekend was my middle son’s 6th birthday… he had his buddies out at Hero’s for a party, I love that place! We did some family celebrating too… he is such a cutie, he was telling everyone “it’s my birthday you know” He had to keep reminding me he wanted Marco’s for dinner…”not just any pizza, Marco’s pizza…because it’s my birthday you know” So I have to include a few pictures of him, these were from the summer, we took a short trip up to Traverse City for the first time. He was in heaven, he loves the beach.

This little girl was so sweet and tiny. She was one in a string of several new babies that were sleepers until I got there! But we worked it and got some adorable shots:

A little smile:

It was wonderful to meet you all!

I was surprised to find out not too long ago that I was chosen by the Knot Ohio readers as one of the Best of Weddings for 2010!! (I’ve been really into following wedding blogs and magazines in the last year, but I must have missed this last year because I didn’t know this survey existed) I was so flattered to be chosen, I want to thank everyone that voted for me! I’m proud of this honor after just one full year of expanding into weddings and I’m so excited for my weddings this year! The magazine is on newstands now, the cover looks just like this one but says Ohio.

And to include something of my own, I am going to skip ahead a bit to show off a slide show from Kirsten and Scot’s early December wedding. I will do them justice with a full blog post all about their amazing day when it’s their turn in my never-ending catch up
But I love the emotion of their day, and that the motto for me was “no posey-posey” I tried my best to be a fly on the wall and let them enjoy their day. Some of the images included were from my wonderful assistant for the day, Gloria Avina. Wait until you hear more about their wedding, I bet you’ll be curious after seeing the stage show!

I’m still here! And still as busy as ever, but getting caught up… yesterday all three kids were home and the emails and calls piled in so I have been trying to get back to everyone today, if you haven’t heard from me yet, you will. Although it’s 2 and I haven’t had lunch and we’re out of skim milk and bread so the store might be first. And then the soccer make up game for my middle child…
But for now still getting through November’s sessions, check out Hayley and Matt’s engagement session in BG. We started out at the courthouse, I love buildings like this and it’s pretty cool that it’s where they will get their marriage license, and it’s where I got my marriage license…and they’re getting married at Nazareth Hall on June 12, and I got married at Nazareth Hall on June 12. Crazy, huh?

We headed downtown and Matt had to show off his mad jumping skills!

We were talking about their love of Boston and how they brought their Red Sox clothes when we saw the truck…we ran to get them changed!

It was so fun hanging out with you two…can’t wait for June!
