• Welcome!

My name is Jennifer Mott and I am a photographer in the Toledo, Ohio area.  I love to capture memories from sweet new babies to the wedding day you dreamed of as a little girl!  Life moves so fast, it's amazing to watch how much my own three children change all the time.

Thanks for visiting, and I hope you enjoy my recent sessions!

Perrysburg Bound! Moving the Studio!

I know, it’s been really quiet on the blog for a long while… this time of year has always been my busiest with editing the tail end of the wedding season, working on wedding albums, and lots of sessions set up to catch the gorgeous fall color!  Well, this year, to add to that, I’m in the process of moving my studio from Grand Rapids to Perrysburg!  It’s been a year long process to find the perfect space and I think I have!

I’ve always had a focus on sessions in the comfort of your home, with natural settings, so it only feels appropriate to set up my studio in a home away from home!  I am in love with older homes with all their charm!  I’ll have super cute rooms set up throughout the house , a great little side yard, and the cutest garage doors too!

The house is at 126 West Front Street in Perrysburg, right across the street from the River and just around the corner from downtown and some favorite spots to shoot there!

I have some decorating and final set up to do yet, but it’s definitely functional for shooting in now!  And once I do get it just right, I’ll have an open house.  Watch here and my facebook page for details!  Here’s a quick peek inside…bright and airy with dark hardwood floors, I love it!!  Hope you will too!

A Heavy Heart Today – Toledo Family Photographer

Last fall I took family photos of one of the most love-filled families I have ever met.  As with all the sessions from the busy fall, I hadn’t had a chance to share the images yet.  Today, their as beautiful inside and out mom is laid to rest, I can think of nothing else but how much she loved her children and her husband.  I thought I would share her beauty and the gorgeous sweet children she leaves behind in her memory.  My thoughts are prayers are with her whole family and I’m sure will be for years to come.  I hope you all hug your family and tell them how much you love them constantly…with tears:

Wow, she was gorgeous and so young! What a terrible tragedy! Her family is beautiful and these images are a treasure – hopefully they bring some comfort to her family in the years ahead of them. I am sure her children will cherish these as they grow up.

Jenn, these are beautiful! The joy and energy in these photos makes it hard to believe she passed. Your photographs of the family will be a lasting memory. I guess we never know the value of a good photo until its all we have left with its memories.

Oh Jenny, it must have been hard putting together these pictures now. You are so talented to capture the love and happiness of Jessica and her cuties. These pictures made me smile and tear up at the same time.

Jennifer, what an awesome talent you have to be able to document beautiful pictures for families. My prayers and thoughts go out to this family, and I’m thankful that that they took the time to invest in such beautiful photography.

A Zoo Affair – Toledo Wedding Photographer

I wanted to post just a few preview pictures of this wedding May 29th between Heather and Darrell.  Heather is a friend from my O-I days and I was so excited when she asked me to capture her wedding day!  She is just the sweetest girl and it was wonderful to meet Darrell and see how much they love each other!

I felt so bad for them as they choose the zoo for the outdoor setting, and that day it was not only flooded a bit, but there were storms and even tornado warnings.  But the wonderful zoo staff moved everything inside and it was beautiful in the museum.

Darrell and his dad and brother have a “signature” picture they have to do at every wedding…love it!

Congrats again guys!!  I will have the rest to you as soon as I can:)

Inverness Wedding – Toledo Wedding Photographer

I planned a quick peek at this wedding but couldn’t help myself!  Natalie and Joe were married at Inverness on May 28th.  They had an outdoor wedding planned at Joe’s parents’ amazing Ottawa Hill’s home…but the weather had other plans for us, since it was heavily flooded and there was more rain coming that day!  I was amazed at how fabulous their outdoor wedding looked indoors at Inverness!  And none of that mattered in the end, only that this beautiful and fun couple were married!

Natalie was gorgeous, the flowers were gorgeous, the dress and veil, yes gorgeous!!  I love that their (Joe’s?) love of fishing was included…the ring bearer came down the aisle with a fishing pole and Joe’s flowers included a fishing lure.

I will definitely be posting more from this wedding in the future!  I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!  I will be at a wedding tomorrow and Sunday is my anniversary!  Tis the season of love!
