A Zoo Affair – Toledo Wedding Photographer

I wanted to post just a few preview pictures of this wedding May 29th between Heather and Darrell. Heather is a friend from my O-I days and I was so excited when she asked me to capture her wedding day! She is just the sweetest girl and it was wonderful to meet Darrell and see how much they love each other!

I felt so bad for them as they choose the zoo for the outdoor setting, and that day it was not only flooded a bit, but there were storms and even tornado warnings. But the wonderful zoo staff moved everything inside and it was beautiful in the museum.

Darrell and his dad and brother have a “signature” picture they have to do at every wedding…love it!

Congrats again guys!! I will have the rest to you as soon as I can

Inverness Wedding – Toledo Wedding Photographer

I planned a quick peek at this wedding but couldn’t help myself! Natalie and Joe were married at Inverness on May 28th. They had an outdoor wedding planned at Joe’s parents’ amazing Ottawa Hill’s home…but the weather had other plans for us, since it was heavily flooded and there was more rain coming that day! I was amazed at how fabulous their outdoor wedding looked indoors at Inverness! And none of that mattered in the end, only that this beautiful and fun couple were married!

Natalie was gorgeous, the flowers were gorgeous, the dress and veil, yes gorgeous!! I love that their (Joe’s?) love of fishing was included…the ring bearer came down the aisle with a fishing pole and Joe’s flowers included a fishing lure.

I will definitely be posting more from this wedding in the future! I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend! I will be at a wedding tomorrow and Sunday is my anniversary! Tis the season of love!

Maumee Bay Wedding – Jackie and Jamile – Toledo Wedding Photographer

Jackie and Jamile were married on May 21, 2011 and it was a gorgeous day outside at Maumee Bay State Park. They were the sweetest couple, so concerned with how everyone else was doing…and I loved how much fun they were! I wanted to show off a few images, and will definitely post more after I get them out to Jackie and Jamile!

Toledo Trash the Dress Photographer – Beach Campout

About a month after Kate and Dave’s wedding, we met up for a trash the dress type session…Kate and Dave love the outdoors and I loved their idea to set up a tent! Carranor Club in Perrysburg – Brad and Nicole – Toledo Wedding Photographer

I had this wedding almost ready to post right before I left for vacation…I needed a little break from emails and calls today, so I thought I would finish up and post it! This was one of my favorite weddings from last year…Brad and Nicole are just the sweetest, happiest, in love couple…along with their friends and family everyone was so much fun! It was also a gorgeously warm day for October, and they were able to have a beautiful outdoor ceremony at the Carranor Club in Perrysburg! I think the club has become one of my favorite locations in the area, it’s so gorgeous! I was excited to work with some of my favorite vendors who made the day just perfect, Lynn from Pollynn Flowers is amazing and creative, and Liz from Eventology is such a joy to work with!

I can’t say enough how gorgeous the Carranor is for outdoor weddings…

Brad and Nicole did a first look, which allowed us to get all of the group and couple pictures done before the wedding…and they were able to relax and have fun the rest of the day.

I love their colors and Lynn did such an awesome job with the bouquets!

Nicole was a stunning bride!

My favorite moment? Nicole STOLE a kiss before it was time to officially kiss the bride

Another favorite of mine, Cake in a Cup, they were so good:

Brad and Nicole came into the reception and went straight into their first dance. I’ve seen this more and more lately and love it! Everyone is still there and able to watch…

July 24, 2010:

I tried my best to get this post out on Valentine’s day…a post to show a LOT of LOVE!! But the day was busy for me with preschoolers and heart-shaped cookie making, calls and uploading a recent wedding. And now it’s tomorrow! I still want to share, this was one of my favorite weddings from last year. So many reasons why…Grace and Adam’s love for each other and for their daughter, was so evident, to my love for Grace’s style…I told her I may have to get married over again and get her dress and shoes! Their minister was entertaining to say the least… Then there was the do-it-yourself element, Grace and her friends and family did everything, flowers, cake decoration, hair clips, jewelry, stroller decoration, tissue paper poofs, everything! And we had fun in between the wedding and reception, loved having time for couple and wedding party fun!

I’m going to post this wedding in two parts because I couldn’t narrow the images down any more! Part 1, getting ready and the ceremony:

Dave + Kate – Tamaron Country Club – Toledo Wedding Photographer

Meet Dave and Kate, two of the sweetest people and together one of the most adorably in love couples I’ve ever met…On May 29th, 2010 they were married at Tamaron Country club. Kate’s aunts acted as wedding designers and did an amazing job with everything! We didn’t have time for an engagement session or too many couple pictures that day…so watch for the coolest couple session coming soon!

I could have included so many, but here are some favorites, first check out the girls, the shoes matched the flowers matched the hair accessories.

A hot, but gorgeous day for an outdoor wedding!

The cakes were so cool, with a homemade topper that had Kate and Dave’s faces cropped onto ballroom dancer bodies, and the promised first beer shot of the baby I posted earlier!

I am working hard on getting caught up with proofing and making some good progress! To my August portrait sessions waiting, I will get your galleries to you soon!

Shelly and Paul’s Nazareth Hall Wedding – Published in the knot Ohio Magazine

I was so excited to see Shelly and Paul’s wedding in the new issue of the knot Ohio! They had gorgeous details and fall colors all tied together by Shelly’s great friend Jenn…who we later found out was a childhood neighbor of mine who suggested me to Shelly and Paul without having any idea that the Jennifer Mott she found online was the same Jenny Roper from down the street. I’m always amazed at what a small world it is. So check out the magazine spread, and brides, so grab a copy, there are always cool ideas in there!

Sara and Jeff – Valleywood Golf Club – Toledo Wedding Photographer

On May 22, 2011, Sara Mott (no relation but fun!) married her love, Jeff at beautiful Valleywood. It was a gorgeous day with bright blue skies and puffy white clouds…

It was pretty windy, which led to some creative thinking to hold the aisle runners down…but not a lot of room to maneuver!

Eston’s made a gorgeous cake, and I loved the homemade cookies to match!
