Shelly and Paul’s Nazareth Hall Wedding – Published in the knot Ohio Magazine

I was so excited to see Shelly and Paul’s wedding in the new issue of the knot Ohio! They had gorgeous details and fall colors all tied together by Shelly’s great friend Jenn…who we later found out was a childhood neighbor of mine who suggested me to Shelly and Paul without having any idea that the Jennifer Mott she found online was the same Jenny Roper from down the street. I’m always amazed at what a small world it is. So check out the magazine spread, and brides, so grab a copy, there are always cool ideas in there!

Sara and Jeff – Valleywood Golf Club – Toledo Wedding Photographer

On May 22, 2011, Sara Mott (no relation but fun!) married her love, Jeff at beautiful Valleywood. It was a gorgeous day with bright blue skies and puffy white clouds…

Check out some of my favorites from their wonderful day!

It was pretty windy, which led to some creative thinking to hold the aisle runners down…but not a lot of room to maneuver!

Eston’s made a gorgeous cake, and I loved the homemade cookies to match!

Dancing Tween – Toledo Photographer

I first met this girl and her mom last year at my studio in the cold to take some shots of her in her dancing costumes. I got a chance to meet her brother and dad for fall shots, and back in May we got to get together again for more shots in her new dance costumes. This time it was warmer! The flowers were gorgeous out at the Botanical Gardens too! Check out some of my favorites:

Hey, remember me? I have been busy busy busy! Getting proofs and orders out, summer with the kids…meetings and weddings and sessions. My little Lucy ruptured her ear drum in the last week or so…feeling much better now, but we’re hoping the hole closes. It’s always something, right? So I am going to bed, but wanted to share a session that is sure to make you smile! Meet the S family, who I visited back in May:

Kids again – Toledo Engagement Photographer

When Amanda told me her ideas for her engagement session, I was thrilled! And you will see why below…I bet it was so much fun to act like kids again!

Amanda wanted a tire swing, and unfortunately the only one I had access to had been torn down…and I had been looking for another one forever. Luckily Jon went to work hanging one on some family property, what a perfect spot!

They’re so cute! It had to be a blast to act like a kid again!

Finally, they both love baseball, but rival teams….but they have fun with it!

It was so wonderful to meet you both! I can’t wait for your big day!!

Birthday Baby – Toledo Child Photographer

Still back in May, little miss A and her family traveled from the Cleveland area to come get her first birthday pictures at the studio. Poor little A had gotten a big scratch on her eye right before her first scheduled date, so we postponed…and this time she still seemed out of sorts but we tried our best anyway. I found out she had a double ear infection at the time, poor baby!! It was one of those days when you wondered if you got any happy faces and it was so nice to get a note from mom about how surprised she was at how many I did get!

I have to start with the cake pictures because I love them! She was not having any part of it until we sprinkled some baby fruit snacks on top:

This last one, a favorite…evidence of the fun that was had!

Yay smiles!! She has such gorgeous eyes!

Chunk of New Baby Boy Goodness – Toledo Baby Photographer

I got called out for not updating the blog lately…I knew it had been a while, but not this long! The days and nights have just run together and passed so quickly this summer. I am trying to balance my new school’s out schedule and I can’t even tell you the crazy hours I am putting in on proofing and ordering.

This little guy was born in May…his family has seen these, and they are some of my favorites! I did punch up the color for the blog on this first one, I just love it!

And his beautiful big sister, already teaching him to stop and smell the flowers…

He really really liked sleeping in this bowl and didn’t like to sleep much elsewhere, so we went with it! It matched inside and outside of the gorgeous house anyway!

He was a chunky little guy:

And such a serious little man face he kept making, so adorable!

C family, it was such a pleasure to meet you all! I will have your order for you very soon! Don’t forget, 25 comments gets the family a gift!

I will try to not wait so long for the next blog post, but my proofing list is long and I am starting to work through my album list too so bear with me!

Kym + Archie – Christ the King & Holland Gardens – Toledo Wedding Photographer

On May 8, 2010, Kym and Archie tied the knot! A gorgeous bride, handsome groom,wonderful family and friends, beautiful details…and an official NFL mascot, what more could I ask for? It was such a special day and I am so honored to have been a part of it!

I started out at Ahava with Kym and the girls…

Then on to Christ the King for the big moment!

We originally had plans to go outside for some fun shots, but it was a crazy windy day and Kym changed her hair from an updo to leaving it down because it looked perfect that way…so we didn’t want the wind to ruin it! Instead we went to my favorite indoor spot.

The wedding party was a blast!

Finally we ended up at Holland Gardens, which was beautifully decorated.

Some of the decorations made me and my diamond obsession happy…

And not long after dinner, unknown to the happy couple, Archie’s parents had arranged for Who Dey, the Cincinnati Bengal’s mascot to drive up and surprise them! He danced the night away and even rocked the microphone for a bit…

And of course, the ending to their story!

It was a gorgeous day you two! And thank you to Jennifer for second shooting!

It’s Good to be a Girl! – Toledo Baby Photographer

I stole my post title from big sister’s shirt…you’ll see it later! I had the H family out to the studio with their new baby girl a few weeks ago. Last I had seen them, it was mom and M and her twin cousins! All girls around 1 to 1 and a half…that was a crazy day! Well M added baby L to the girl cousins club…and I could have just ate her up she was so sweet!

I have a lot of new favorites from this one:

And these…my favorite girl color combo is blue and pink, I love this next one so much I want to hang it in Lucy’s room

And her little feet hanging out, so cute!

Now, M wasn’t in the best mood that day…not sad, just very very serious! I finally got some smiles from an iPhone…mom and dad, you are in trouble in oh, about 12-14 years!

I love newborn stretches!
