Dancing Tween – Toledo Photographer

I first met this girl and her mom last year at my studio in the cold to take some shots of her in her dancing costumes. I got a chance to meet her brother and dad for fall shots, and back in May we got to get together again for more shots in her new dance costumes. This time it was warmer! The flowers were gorgeous out at the Botanical Gardens too! Check out some of my favorites:

Hey, remember me? I have been busy busy busy! Getting proofs and orders out, summer with the kids…meetings and weddings and sessions. My little Lucy ruptured her ear drum in the last week or so…feeling much better now, but we’re hoping the hole closes. It’s always something, right? So I am going to bed, but wanted to share a session that is sure to make you smile! Meet the S family, who I visited back in May:

I know…the blog has been on the back burner while I get proofs and orders out. I’m slowing getting caught up and should have more blog posts really soon! I hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! I did, I got to be a part of a lovely wedding, meet a few out of town families, swim with my family, and even organize my computer a little on that rainy Monday!

Meet Kate, who has already graduated and gotten all of her proofs I thought I would share some of my favorites.

I had so much fun getting to know Kate. It’s funny, but she looks a little bit and acts just like one of my cousins/god daughter.

Kate brought along her boyfriend…and while I won’t share his purse holding shots, I do love this set under a huge tree:

Lovely Family Session – Toledo Family Photographer

I had this post saved as a draft for two days now, I’ve been in the middle of trying to multi-task about 4 things at once all this week! I met these two and their mom down in Bowling Green at the prickliest park I think I’ve ever been to! I thought we were in the Southwest with the cactus and I think I have some scars leftover…

I love that mom set this up with her teens, it’s a great age and often not photographed in between the young years and senior pictures. I had a blast talking with these two!

Mom says she beats up on him quite often so I love this one punch…I got a few more of the aftermath

Lauren Class of 2010 – Toledo Senior Photographer

I met up with Lauren a little while ago for last minute senior pictures before her graduation from SUA. She is completely gorgeous as you will be able to see…and we had a lot of fun!

Eric – Class of 2010 – Toledo Senior Photographer

I met Eric a few weeks ago to get some senior pictures in before graduation! Eric is off to Toledo to play baseball, I wish him great success!

Finally, this pose we now call the “Jay” after his good friend who had all the girls go crazy over a similar look last year

Speaking of Jay, I need to get back to work on his new niece’s newborn pictures. I am still working on emails from the weekend…between an all day wedding and mother’s day I wasn’t on the computer and I’m making up for it today! I hope you all had a wonderful Mother’s Day!

Chelsea, class of 2010 – Toledo Senior Photographer

I hope everyone enjoyed the holidays! We had a wonderful time, especially my three spoiled children! I am back to work today and hopefully will get caught up with emails and voice mails…and on to tying up some editing and design from this year. I had a wonderful year meeting so many new families and seeing the children of my returning families grow! I have seen new families start at so many beautiful weddings…it’s been amazing and I can’t wait for 2010! January will be bringing some changes… an updated look and an updated website (I haven’t done that in two years, it’s needed!) I will be making some changes to give myself my life back as well, more sleep, more family time, more me time and to improve my services for my families. I am so excited to get working for next year.

Now…I will get back to the many sessions from this fall left to blog. Starting with Chelsea’s senior session all around Grand Rapids, I have a lot to do tonight so I’ll let the gorgeous pictures of Chelsea speak for themselves:

One more thing, I am looking for someone in or near Grand Rapids would would like to shovel snow in front of my studio. It’s an hour round trip for me for something that takes less than 10 minutes, so I would love someone reliable to clear it off for me. Let me know if you know anyone!

Holiday Mini Session Round 1, Part 2 – Toledo Family Photographer

More families from my first day of mini sessions to share! This first family, mom is the sister of one of my seniors, I loved her brother and mom, so I was excited to meet her and her family! Everyone warned me that little E was super serious and probably wouldn’t smile for me, especially in a 20 minute short session, so I had to take that as a challenge I think this first image is a new favorite:

These next two remind me of Charlie Brown’s tree, I love her look of wonder in the second one…

I think they had fun too…

I had to include this last shot…this family is one of my favorites and it was my third time seeing them…and they prefer to not have their pictures online…BUT I had to share the prop they brought, it was so cute in between the trees with the wreath

Only about 20 more posts to get caught up on the blog…I’ll be putting them up this week inbetween getting caught up on my Christmas shopping/wrapping/cards! I hope everyone is enjoying the season and is more prepared for Christmas than I am!

Rosie, class of 2010 – Toledo Senior Photographer

Meet Rosie…who braved crazy freezing winds on Halloween morning. Thank goodness for the warm studio to run back to for little breaks in between outside shots! Rosie did great and is sooo beautiful, love these!!

We had to do the bubble shot, you have no idea how hard these can be!

Her dog was a little crazy but gorgeous!

We got lots of stares with the chair in the middle of the road, or maybe it was her in a tank top and me in my heavy winter coat…

Matthew – Swanton Class of 2010 – Toledo Senior Photographer

I had a great time with Matthew, his sister and his mom taking his pictures out and around Grand Rapids. Matthew has a great smile, but after I looked at the images I selected for the blog I noticed I picked a lot more of his serious looks…I think it’s because he looks like he belongs in a magazine in them. It was wonderful to meet you all!
