Hey, remember me? I have been busy busy busy! Getting proofs and orders out, summer with the kids…meetings and weddings and sessions. My little Lucy ruptured her ear drum in the last week or so…feeling much better now, but we’re hoping the hole closes. It’s always something, right? So I am going to bed, but wanted to share a session that is sure to make you smile! Meet the S family, who I visited back in May:

Now I have that beautiful girls song in my head A few weeks ago, I was so excited to see the W family again! Last time I saw them was for baby H’s newborn session and I couldn’t believe how big she is already! Time flies by so fast for me lately!

Check out H and R, such little dolls! I just love these first two:

I don’t know why, but babies chewing on their fingers…it gets me every time!

I noticed all the pictures I chose for R were moody, but she is a happy girl too, see:

Some Pink for Your Valentine’s Day – Toledo Photographer

I hope you all had a nice Valentine’s Day! We had a pretty laid back day, but I got to sleep in a little bit, see the kids get so excited to give me their cards, meet a couple to talk about their wedding day (what could be more fitting on Valentine’s day?) and eat coconut cake, which I think is my new favorite.

I’m still working on my list, and made some good progress, so I thought I would share another session from last year. And it was a very pink session, perfect for today! This was the lovely family I enjoyed spending some time with in early December…

Santa Baby is growing up – Toledo Baby Photographer

I was excited to see this little guy for the third time since he was born…you might remember him from last year or maybe have seen his picture hanging in the window at my studio…the newborn in the santa hat. The hat he’s wearing below is the same hat believe it or not, I must have done some creative bunching last year!

L is such a cutie, getting so handsome! I love that every time his parents kissed he had to check them out to try to figure out what was going on…too adorable!

This collage was the back of their Christmas card, I thought I would include it here so I could show off lots of pictures!

Gorgeous Perrysburg Senior – Toledo Senior Photographer

I was excited for Elizabeth’s session early this month because she is a second or third or fourth cousin who happened to get my card and then much later her mom realized she knew who I was! I probably saw her in that past at an extended family function, but I didn’t remember so it was a lot of fun to get to spend time with her, we had so much fun!

Elizabeth was so brave! We went to my favorite field, and it was early morning…well I must have only gone to the field at night because there were HUGE spider webs everywhere! Like every foot or two through the whole field. It was really cool looking but poor Elizabeth had to trek out through the middle of it. I took a picture of one, but it was one of the only ones without a big fat spider in it, I wasn’t getting that close to those ugly things! The pictures were worth it…I could have picked all my favorites from the field only.

But we went to another spot and I love these too!

I actually had all three of my sessions need to reschedule today…two for weather and the third, a newborn was in the hospital with a little bug. Keep her in your thoughts!! So I got some catching up done and should have some galleries and albums out soon! And I have a lot of emails to reply back to, I will tonight or tomorrow!

Someone mentioned my blog list was helpful for the wait, so I will list them again…up next on the blog are: my holiday mini session announcement (I put it up on facebook and sent out a newsletter and one day is fully booked already and another is almost full…I’m waiting on a few responses and may add another date before I post here…)

Visiting Family – Toledo Photographer

I had this post all written up last night and when I tried to add one last picture, it locked up. Of course I lost everything, which is very frustrating when you stayed up late to get it done…

Anyway, I was excited to meet this family from Chicago…they were in town for the shower of one of my August brides. Mom is the maid of honor and the girls will be flower girls! (I think the baby will be carried in, but I could be remembering that wrong, it’s been a while since we talked!)

We started out at Grandpa’s home, which had amazing light! I just love this moody one of big sister:

Little sister is just out of that newborn stage and starting to smile! And I just had to include this second one, I LOVE the wrestling action going on in the back (I think she’s winning!)

We went out and got a generational shot with Grandpa and I love that we were able to take them someplace meaningful.

Family Reunion Time – Toledo Family Photographer

Still catching up on blogging…and everything else! But I’m getting there… This family all came into town for a larger family reunion. I’m going to be short on words for this one so I can get back to working while Lucy is taking a rare nap! Here is the first family and their beautiful baby girl:

Then one last couple, although I didn’t get many of them together…they protested since they had pretty recent wedding pictures. One is holding a baby here and the other is on the right in the sibling shot. Can you tell they’re trying to be cool?

Finally Grandma and Grandpa with all of the kids…not sure what he’s laughing at here, but if was like the rest of the session, it was probably at something like this going on behind me:

It was so nice to meet you all! I definitely had a blast! Hope your reunion was fun!

Up next: a senior, another visiting family, a baby “trash the dress” at the beach, a baby boy on a farm, a new baby and his big sister, a one-year-old birthday boy, brothers, pictures from my Detroit workshop, and probably some boudoir shots after hubby’s birthday surprise! It’s been a busy but fun summer!

OK, I’m off to bed…dealing with trying to straighten out my emails. Bad week for emails to not go through. I am now set up for my work email to go through gmail, so I think things are working again, but if you think we’re missing a reply from the last few days, get in touch!

I had the pleasure of meeting a wonderful new family and this handsome man a few days ago… I don’t think you need any explanation, just soak in the cuteness:

Even if she went to St. Ursula… he he, had to get that in! This was hmm, Wednesday night? I had so much fun with these two and both sets of parents! What a great idea to bring wine and snacks to your children’s engagement session? Such a fun group…and I had fun again going through the shots tonight. These two were such goofs half the time… Miss. K had to have been in theater…

Toledo is such a small town. I was just talking to K and N about where they went to school, grew up, etc. and N said he grew up in the south end and went to OLPH. Wait, I went there. Yep, he’s a year older than my brother and his brother was a year older than me…and my mom taught him. Then talking to K’s mom, she worked with my cousin at St. John’s. Which is where these two met, they were both teaching at St. Johns.

I just love these first two, such love:

They were trying to be serious American Gothic style…yeah right! And I love the second one, the colors and reflection of them in the water:

Fun session last night and contest announcement

Finally, I have some news about the Emma Louise contests… I went to deliver the July picture to the store and it was closed. I tried again later, still closed. I called the owner and she told me that they have sold the store. They will be closed for at least a month while they transfer ownership. I do not know if the new owners will want to continue the contest or not. So, I have put the July winner up on my website under the contest winner gallery, but there will be no store display. The August winner has been picked already so they will still have their session and print and I will put their images on my site in August. But for now, there will not be any more drawings. Once the busy season is over and I talk to the new owners, I might start the contest again or I may come up with something new!

I want to thank everyone that has entered in the past, it was fun and so nice to meet all the families and see their excitement at winning…
