Mom told me that little M is very active and I thought yep, like most 3 year olds…but don’t let this first image fool you:

But, after all that running and shooting, I got some great smiles, and a lot of images that are truely M – active and adorable!

He was VERY active, so the session consisted of lots of us chasing after Q and lots of fun running shots:

Toward the end he broke out a little air guitar, how cute is that?

Luckily there’s no video yet…we didn’t do the interview part until after I spent a good 30-40 minutes running around in the middle of the hottest, most humid day we’ve had yet this year!  Not a pretty site!  But Norm did a great job putting together my unorganized thoughts and tips and it was fun to learn that he is a photography professional himself with some great race car shots!

This next one was one of the first 2 shots I got, so alert and expressive!  Love, love , love those new baby wrinkles!  I think she was 7 days old…

We traveled around downtown Toledo, I just love these ones…and his eyes are gorgeous!  The blues I found for backgrounds really brought them out! And he has a great smile and I love those ones, but the serious ones looked like they should be in a magazine or ad…

I had planned to go to bed early tonight, just wanted to blog this quickly and answer a few emails… then I hear this huge thunk overhead.  Lucy had fallen out of her big girl bed and hit the hardwood floor.  She has rails on, but she moved so much she went off the foot of the bed and over the pillow wall we set up.  So I ended up laying down with her until she calmed down and I was sure she was OK.  So, the emails didn’t get answered.  I apologize to everyone!  I haven’t been home the last 2 days at all, appointments after appointments, but tomorrow and Friday I have lots of time set aside to catch up.

So I will keep this to mostly pictures tonight so I can get to bed…

But then J & J and the wedding party braved the weather for me to get some quick shots at a location I scoped out a few days before…I’m so glad they did, I love what we got!

 You’ll get the title in a little while… Last week, I had the pleasure of visiting one of my favorite places to photograph, where the sweetest family ever lives.  This cute little baby boy is number 3 for them.  And just as adorable as his big brother and sister.

The family loves antiques and shipped this table made of old old barn floorboards from the East coast…I just LOVE the texture of the table with their soft little newborn:

They have the best old trunks too (if you can look past the cute little baby butt):

OK, so the title, mom brought out this box… it’s special because of dad’s business (and I think babies can be sort of explosive at times too)

I’m going to let the pictures do the talking tonight, it’s past bedtime.  These girls were some of the first on my website long ago.  They came down to Grand Rapids this time and we did some shots in the studio and out around town.

First up, two gorgeous girls!!  And I love their outfits!  This first shot… aside from seomthing I don’t get of my own kids, so sweet!!  What gets me about this one too, the lighting is so perfect at the studio.  This is straight out of the camera:

Mom thought the outfits called for an old-fashioned sepia, I love this one that way, and then big sister is so stunning!

Grand Rapids, really is the perfect spot to find cute little nooks for photos… and are these next two not to die for?  I am buying these coats off mom in a few years   And little sister is so spunky and sweet:
