Retro Baby Revisited and a Senior announcement – Toledo Baby Photographer

First, before I get to this cutie…I have been getting a ton of calls and emails asking if I am going to be choosing senior spokes models this year. I will not have spokes models this year and I will only be taking a limited number of senior sessions. I plan to have more information about these exclusive senior spots soon.

You might remember this little guy as a newborn…http://jennifermott.com/blog/2010/02/retro-baby-toledo-newborn-photographer/ I was so excited when his mom called to have me back! He is just so stinkin cute and his mom did the best time decorating his room! I told her she needs to go into business somehow because she has a gift for finding cool things and pulling them all together! I could use her help with my house!

It was so great to see D awake so much this time, he has the more gorgeous soulful eyes!

He is a serious little man:

This sleep baby shot takes me back…one of my kids sucked their thumb and another one played with their hair when they were tired…it’s such a baby thing that I miss!

So great to see you all again!!

I’m determined to get caught up on my list before I go to a photography conference next week…in case you did not see the note at the top of the page, we’ll be closed March 5-11th, so there may be delays in orders, emails, voicemails until after I get back. But next on my list was this adorable little guy..who shares a name with my current favorite TV show.

And I about died when I saw his room…mom has a fabulous eye for great finds and putting together such a great retro style room! She’s painted furniture, gotten cute stuff off ebay that reminds me of my childhood, and added an adorable little baby to top it off!

Love hte hat she had too! And he was such a great sleepy baby!

It was so nice to meet you both!

Beautiful Baby Girl – Toledo Family Photographer

First, I apologize for the lack of blogs…Lucy and I have been passing a bug back and forth, or maybe it’s just been lingering…for over a week. I have been struggling to get work done… I’m feeling better and ready to tackle my long to do list!

Next, I have to ask you all to keep the Seedorf family in your prayers. I was shocked tonight as I was working with the news on as background noise…I heard a name I recognized and started to pay attention. There was an accident in Wood County, Shannon went off the road into the Portage river and later died. I took pictures of Shannon and her boys this past spring, her boys will be turning 4 and 2 soon. It breaks my heart to think of them without their mother…I’ve been crying all night and thinking about how we had talked during her session, how she wanted to do a session for herself for Mother’s day every year and that she wanted to wait until the next one, when she lost weigh/felt better about herself to get a good family picture. I told her I was waiting for the same thing… we laughed about it and I am so grateful that I got a few candid shots of her interacting with the boys anyway. Shannon was a wonderful person and motherand my thoughts are with her family.

Now, I apologize to the S family for putting these up after writing about something so sad…but this is what I was working on when I saw the news and I want to get it up. Your beautiful little girl puts such a smile on my face! We started out in the field and I am so glad we did because once we got in the house and I got closer with my big camera she was scared! Poor little doll! Check out this adorable family:

…and dogs, but not new babies…

I’m still working through November when I had the pleasure of meeting this wonderful family! The session was supposed to be more of a newborn session, but little Miss M was really not a happy camper. I ended up spending most of my time with her adorable big sister, then getting a few great ones of Miss. M in a very short time and ending with some family Christmas pictures which Miss M wasn’t too happy with either. Poor little sweetie!

I’ve been dying to share this one, it makes me smile big:

Love her laugh… and have you ever seen such a happy dog? Can you be sad with a dog that smiles like this around?

It was wonderful to meet you all!!

I have been super busy again, so the blog hasn’t been a priority and won’t be for a little while. But getting proof galleries out is and I’m making some good progress!

Beautiful Family, Beautiful Day – Toledo Family Photographer

Still catching up…this was in the first days of November…I met the D family at their home for some fun with the leaves and their adorable dog. And we were lucky to have some good weather still, it was a little cool but the sun was shining after days and days of rain. And we caught some of the last of the fall color…

Their girls are just gorgeous!!And fun

The next one is a favorite, I love the bond between sisters!

What a great looking family, huh? And they are all so kind and welcoming…and fun!

And had to end with this one, another favorite!! They called this the Maria pose after a friend of theirs from school that is on my website…hope they love theirs as much as they do hers!!

Sugar and Spice – Toledo Newborn Baby Photographer

Immediately after my session with the new baby boy and his brothers, I drove to this session with a new baby girl and her sister. (So I had to come up with a good title too)

Little Miss L was older than I usually get babies in for newborn sessions, but we had to reschedule while she was in the hospital after big sister shared a cold with her. She was a little less sleepy for me, but I am still thrilled with what we got! And I LOVE her nursery…blues and pinks are my favorites for a girl, Lucy’s room is blue and pink.

Check out the beautiful girls! (you might remember mom and big sister from their mom/daughter session this past summer, another favorite session)

The last one, can you spot the two bagels she helped herself to and ended up carrying around the whole time…that we’d have to tear out of her little hands for each shot? Too cute!

Seriously, I have so many new favorites from all my recent sessions, I might be tempted to update my website for the first time in 2 years…maybe in January when things slow down…

Lots of peaks today…back to getting galleries out for a while and then more peaks for: Heather, Kari, Jay, Carolyn, Mary, Wendy, Jen, Shelly, Tammy, Matthew, Margaret, Emily, Victoria, Sara, Rosie, the first set of holiday minis, and Anisha.

I traveled down to Findlay to capture this new baby boy and his two older brothers. Mom was debating between their home and the studio…and while I love the studio for new ones, the nursery alone was worth the trip! I just love the froggy theme! Lots of new favorite shots in this session…and check out the hats mom had at the end! I so wanted to steal them Thanks for your patience, I will have the rest ready for you soon!!

Fun chaos – Toledo Family Photographer

This is a special family to me…I was contacted by one daughter to get pictures of her mom and dad and all her sisters and their families. We set it up and then a bit later I got the check in the mail with had a different last name that she had. It was familiar so I asked if they didn’t happen to use to live in a certain spot in the south end. They were the same family…one of their daughters and I had been good friends in grade school and I had spent lots of time at their house years ago. It was wonderful to reconnect and meet all their spouses and children!!

The shoot itself was chaotic but fun with all these little ones! Here are a few, and the rest will be ready soon!

Beauty from the East – Toledo Child Photographer

The East coast that is! Little B lives in Virginia but let me come over to Grandma’s house for a session while she was visiting… we got super lucky with the weather, the evening we were supposed to shoot was pitch black and pouring, so we moved it to the next morning right before they had to leave for their flight home. Luckily we managed to get in the small window of time it was nice out… Miss B is a gorgeous, gorgeous little girl!

Luckily she has beautiful hair too because I got a lot of shots like this:

LOL! Which is totally normal once with this age, so much to see and do!! Besides, look at those beautiful curls and those still chubby hands…

Beautiful Sisters – Toledo Newborn Photographer

I’m still 3 weeks back on blogs…it was a pleasure to go out and meet this new set of sisters. Gorgeous both of them, and I loved their rooms! Meet little sister first, I really love her nursery. Poor little thing was so fussy that morning, and I found out later she went to the doctor and had a milk allergy. I think she did wonderfully for not feeling well!

And big sister…a little shy at first, but she warmed up to me:
