Shelly and Paul’s Nazareth Hall Wedding – Published in the knot Ohio Magazine

I was so excited to see Shelly and Paul’s wedding in the new issue of the knot Ohio! They had gorgeous details and fall colors all tied together by Shelly’s great friend Jenn…who we later found out was a childhood neighbor of mine who suggested me to Shelly and Paul without having any idea that the Jennifer Mott she found online was the same Jenny Roper from down the street. I’m always amazed at what a small world it is. So check out the magazine spread, and brides, so grab a copy, there are always cool ideas in there!

Birthday Baby – Toledo Child Photographer

Still back in May, little miss A and her family traveled from the Cleveland area to come get her first birthday pictures at the studio. Poor little A had gotten a big scratch on her eye right before her first scheduled date, so we postponed…and this time she still seemed out of sorts but we tried our best anyway. I found out she had a double ear infection at the time, poor baby!! It was one of those days when you wondered if you got any happy faces and it was so nice to get a note from mom about how surprised she was at how many I did get!

I have to start with the cake pictures because I love them! She was not having any part of it until we sprinkled some baby fruit snacks on top:

This last one, a favorite…evidence of the fun that was had!

Yay smiles!! She has such gorgeous eyes!

It’s Good to be a Girl! – Toledo Baby Photographer

I stole my post title from big sister’s shirt…you’ll see it later! I had the H family out to the studio with their new baby girl a few weeks ago. Last I had seen them, it was mom and M and her twin cousins! All girls around 1 to 1 and a half…that was a crazy day! Well M added baby L to the girl cousins club…and I could have just ate her up she was so sweet!

I have a lot of new favorites from this one:

And these…my favorite girl color combo is blue and pink, I love this next one so much I want to hang it in Lucy’s room

And her little feet hanging out, so cute!

Now, M wasn’t in the best mood that day…not sad, just very very serious! I finally got some smiles from an iPhone…mom and dad, you are in trouble in oh, about 12-14 years!

I love newborn stretches!

Beautiful Little One Year Old – Toledo Baby Photographer

Oops…I had this blog post up as a draft for several days now…with the rain finally staying away I am slightly crazed here! All that rain really messed me and my calendar up!

It took Miss E a while to warm up to me at the studio, but once she did I got some adorable smiles! This first is a favorite, I just love when babies chew on their fingers, it’s such a baby thing and I miss it with my own kids.

This next one is another favorite, so sweet!

And this last one cracks me up…she did fine with the hat boxes, it was the necklace that set her off!

I’ve been meaning to do this forever…get 25 comments on this post and mom and dad get a gift! To be fair, the same thing goes for all my previous blog posts…

Could she be any cuter? – Toledo baby photographer

Just a quick post tonight…busy day and night! I got a lot done including putting this adorable little one’s gallery up. Grandma and Grandpa brought her to the studio while she was in town visiting. She is such a happy baby, and those eyes and dimples made me melt!

Lambs are her thing and she brought along a whole herd, so cute!

It was a pleasure meeting you all, thank you for bringing her into the studio!

Just a quick one before I go to bed because I know it will be an extra early morning with the excitement over the Easter bunny! I had this family come in 2 weeks ago with their two adorable little boys. It was so much fun to see their oldest again, I had taken some shots of him when he was a baby… this first one was a rare smile from Mr. Serious. I LOVE his little mohawk!

This is most of what I saw from the little one, good thing he’s adorable!

I hope you all have a wonderful Easter tomorrow! I will be off and will return any calls or emails at some point on Monday or Tuesday. The kids will be on spring break and I am sure I will be busy dealing with their sugar highs Monday! Plus we have dentist appointments, who schedules THOSE the day after Easter?

A Baby and a Little Lady – Toledo Family Photographer

OK…the title was not my best and just a bit cheesy That’s what happens when I have been working non-stop and get tired! I was doing well for about a week with my blog posts and then got knee deep into installing and setting up a new program. And editing. And designs. So, this family came in two weeks ago with their adorable new baby boy and his sweet big sister. We had so much fun and got some shots I just love! And mom paid me the best compliment after…she sent an email about how her daughter wasn’t looking forward to pictures but had the best time and how the session wasn’t what dad expected. I just love it…I get so many dads and senior guys who are not into taking pictures and I am always so happy to see them having fun and getting into it by the end.

So the boys get one too, so cute: I am catching up on emails, I will get back to you as soon as I can if I haven’t yet. I hope everyone is enjoying the warm weather and has a fun Easter planned!

Little Visitor from Chicago – Toledo Baby Photographer

Today (yes, I said today…I’ll explain in a bit) I got to see little H again. I met him for the first time for a family session with his parents, aunt and uncle, cousins, and grandparents. This time he was in town and came out to the studio to celebrate being just over one year old! H was pretty serious for most of the session, we were thinking it was a combination of teething and the time change and travel. But I was so happy to go through and find lots of smiles I caught in between the serious faces. I’m so glad, he has the best smile, not to mention those gorgeous blue eyes!

This face cracked me up, I had to include it!

It was so wonderful to see you all again!

OK…I am not trying to be unfair, but I think if I keep trying to catch up on the blog I will never get back to the point I want to be at…where I am showing off a few images from each session right away. I have not forgotten about all the sessions I have left from the past few months, but I will be mixing them in when I can. For now I am starting fresh from my return from my conference. I’m also making some big changes, which I’m working on when I can and will roll them out all at once…but I included a sneak peak if you’re paying attention

Finally, the last of my November sessions! I am getting caught up on other things so you may be seeing lots of December posts soon! My goal is to get back to normal and show sessions right after they happen by the end of this month, we’ll see!

These two beauties came to the studio with their jammies, pretty dress up dresses, and their doll and stuffed dog with matching dresses! They are cousins with two little boys I’ve had in a few times before and it was fun to see the similarities. I am getting ready to run, but check out how much fun we had:

Chelsea, class of 2010 – Toledo Senior Photographer

I hope everyone enjoyed the holidays! We had a wonderful time, especially my three spoiled children! I am back to work today and hopefully will get caught up with emails and voice mails…and on to tying up some editing and design from this year. I had a wonderful year meeting so many new families and seeing the children of my returning families grow! I have seen new families start at so many beautiful weddings…it’s been amazing and I can’t wait for 2010! January will be bringing some changes… an updated look and an updated website (I haven’t done that in two years, it’s needed!) I will be making some changes to give myself my life back as well, more sleep, more family time, more me time and to improve my services for my families. I am so excited to get working for next year.

Now…I will get back to the many sessions from this fall left to blog. Starting with Chelsea’s senior session all around Grand Rapids, I have a lot to do tonight so I’ll let the gorgeous pictures of Chelsea speak for themselves:

One more thing, I am looking for someone in or near Grand Rapids would would like to shovel snow in front of my studio. It’s an hour round trip for me for something that takes less than 10 minutes, so I would love someone reliable to clear it off for me. Let me know if you know anyone!
