I hope everyone is enjoying the lovely weather for this time of year!  I’ve been busy here, getting ready for the bridal show at Nazareth Hall on February 19th and for a big display at the new 3D/4D ultrasound business opening up that same week in Maumee!  Check out My Little Me!  Along with getting the studio painted and working on a total web site overhaul, I am one busy lady!!

I’m excited to being doing something really fun and different this year!! Inspired by the photobooth props I see all the time, these mini sessions are going to be very fun and stylized! I’ve got Santa hats on a stick among other props, a snowball fight set up that won’t melt, chocolate milk in old milk bottles with striped paper straws…and more!! I suggest bright and fun outfits, hats, mittens, scarfs! The sessions will be at my new studio in Perrysburg and will be mostly outside.

I’ve always had a focus on sessions in the comfort of your home, with natural settings, so it only feels appropriate to set up my studio in a home away from home!  I am in love with older homes with all their charm!  I’ll have super cute rooms set up throughout the house , a great little side yard, and the cutest garage doors too!

The house is at 126 West Front Street in Perrysburg, right across the street from the River and just around the corner from downtown and some favorite spots to shoot there!

I have some decorating and final set up to do yet, but it’s definitely functional for shooting in now!  And once I do get it just right, I’ll have an open house.  Watch here and my facebook page for details!  Here’s a quick peek inside…bright and airy with dark hardwood floors, I love it!!  Hope you will too!

Enjoy this gorgeous weather!!   Time to start thinking about Spring and Summer sessions!  I’m booking up pretty quickly, most weekend dates are full, so let me know if you’re interested!  I’m so excited, it’s looking like it will be a fun year!

The first is the cover of the Toledo Zoo Safari magazine.  The zoo contacted me to take images of a family who won the opportunity to be on the cover of the magazine at the Feast with the Beasts event.  I went out and spent some time last year with the family all around the Nature’s Neighborhood.  It was a fun challenge working with five kids keeping the narrow vertical cover format in mind!  The kids did wonderfully and were so sweet and cute!  The zoo chose the images they wanted for the cover, I’ll have to share some of my other favorites soon!

The second cover is for a national magazine called Gun Dog and is out on newsstands now.  When they first contacted me to ask if they could use this photo from one of my pet sessions in 2009, I asked my husband if I should do it…I’m kind of on the “Bambi” side of the whole gun thing and I wasn’t sure what the families that work with me would think!  But looking into the magazine some more, it’s really geared more towards the breeds of dogs that are traditional hunting dogs…and I just love any dog so I agreed!  Besides I loved Bryce’s session and was excited to show them off again!  The magazine is going to be using another image from this session for their 2012 calendar, can’t wait to see it!
