It’s September 11 and 8 years later I still can’t believe the images I saw on TV. I remember hearing about it at work at O-I, trying to get online but everything was down, gathering around a TV in a meeting room, getting sent home early, watching TV all day, the perfect day, blue skies, silence in the skies until some military jets flew over, worrying about my friend in NYC and flight attendant friend and brother in downtown Chicago with all those skyscrapers…thinking about all the victims and their families…
Today I just want to say thank you to all that have served and are serving…I have two people, heros, that I have recently met and especially have on my mind. As I posted before about getting images up from the retro boudoir quickly, my bride’s maid of honor, C will be deploying to Iraq tomorrow. Please keep her in your thoughts.
She is second from the left, and I wish I could post one of her individual pictures, but they were all the ones that are off limits for the internet:

It wasn’t until their wedding day, when everyone was sharing stories about Chris and Julie, did I find out that Chris has served 3 tours in Iraq. (please correct me if I have the number wrong, I believe I am right, but I have the worst memory!) I was completely in awe.

Thank you both!!!

Hi Jennifer! God bless the young lady who has to serve. I don’t know any of these people but of course I know my husband who served a tour in Iraq during the onset of the war. He is my hero:-)
And that’s Brandon…you may not have even known what Candice this is!! LOL
Outstanding shots Jennifer!! We can’t wait to see the rest of your masterpiece. Thank you so much! – Chris
